Mayamiko is a nine year old girl who lives with community members. Mayamiko’s grandmother abandoned her because she believed the child was practising witchcraft. Mayamiko is a quiet, serious girl.

Jennifer Douma is a Toronto-based school teacher who recently fulfilled a dream with the opening of an orphan care facility in Malawi. She’s just returned from Lilongwe, where she taught at the Mount Sinai International School and looked after Itatu Orphan Care.
